Starlink

Fast, Reliable Internet—Anywhere

Starlink delivers high-speed satellite internet to locations that traditional broadband can’t reach. Whether you’re running a rural business, working from a remote property, or simply struggling with slow speeds, Starlink provides a strong, stable connection from the moment it’s installed.

With quick deployment, no complex cabling and impressive performance, it’s the perfect solution for businesses and homeowners who need fast, dependable connectivity without waiting for fibre to arrive.

The techy stuff

Starlink is powered by a large constellation of low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellites that sit roughly 550 km above the planet — far closer than traditional satellite internet providers. Because the distance is shorter, latency drops dramatically, bringing performance much closer to fibre-like speeds. This makes Starlink ideal for VoIP systems, cloud applications, video conferencing, remote monitoring and other real-time workloads.

The Starlink dish installed at your property automatically tracks overhead satellites, maintaining a constant line-of-sight connection. As each satellite moves out of range, your dish seamlessly hands off to the next one, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. All traffic travels through encrypted links to Starlink ground stations and into the wider internet backbone.

This setup gives you a powerful, resilient connection that isn’t dependent on local cabinets, copper networks or over-subscribed infrastructure. For rural and hard-to-reach locations, it’s one of the fastest and most reliable connectivity options available — delivering high performance even where traditional ISPs fall short.

  • Yes — thanks to low latency, Starlink works brilliantly with 8x8, Teams, Zoom, and other real‑time applications.

  • Heavy snow can reduce performance, but the dish is heated and automatically melts snow. Rain and wind have minimal impact.

  • Absolutely. Starlink’s router is basic — we often pair it with Ubiquiti UniFi for full‑property coverage.

  • In most cases, no. Starlink dishes are classed as permitted development.
